Blazer Midnight
full size blazer vent window weatherstrip replacement?
I have a 91 full size blazer and I’m a bit stuck. I followed as the shop manual said on how to get the vent window out, but now its different than the book. The instructions are for a 91 full size, but my window has rivets and a spring on it. also its attatched to the window channel, which is different than the book. I know if i drill out the rivets i can re-rivet them once i put the new weatherstripping on. I need them out of the way because the weatherstripping goes around the piece that attatches the window to the door. Also, i dont kow what to do about the spring. I dont want to mess with it because i dont know if its going to be hard to get back on. Anyone have experience with this that can be a big help for me so im not out here at midnight lol.
If you are talking about the coiled spring that is on the window regulator don’t worry about it just do what you need and then reinstall the regulator…..the spring wont go anywhere.
