What causes one’s hair to turn gray/white?

I know genetics has something to do with it, but are there any environmental factors that make you more likely to sprout gray or white hair? I’d just like to know what I can do to prevent the onset of gray hair as long as I can =] thanks

Entropy (the degradation of the quality/clarity of your DNA which happens with age), dirty air, dirty water, poor diet, and even stress are apt to cause gray or white hair. Since gray/white hair is largely dependent on your genetics and the speed at which you age, there isn’t much you can do to stop its formation – above all just try and keep yourself healthy and happy.
