How can I clean box off of leather boots?

I have a pair of brown leather boots from Victoria’s Secret. They were at my mom’s for a long time and were leaning against a brown box that got wet and so the box is stuck all over the boots. Can I clean these at home somehow?? Or should I take them to the cleaners? Can normal dry cleaners clean them or do I have to take them to a specialty place?
