Cobbling is one of the world’s oldest professions. Craftsmen with calloused and gnarled fingers have been stitching leather shoes and hammering and gluing rubber soles for centuries. But the influx of cheaper footwear from Asian manufacturers and constantly changing styles have made the cobbler an endangered trade.
