So she’s what would happen if Sarah Palin was the attorney general?
She’s the UK’s home secretary. She is hated because she fights for laws which take away freedom from the people.
She wanted to keep people detained for a longer time (40 days if I remember correctly) without trial.
She forced laws through to make possession of “extreme” sexual imagery or video a crime. This makes it a criminal offence to, for example, own copies of European movies which contain rape scenes, if those movies have not been cleared by UK censors.
She bans people from entering the UK for having unpopular viewpoints, including a European politician and an American radio show host.
She wanted the police to keep people’s DNA after they were proved innocent, in case it is useful in the future. Thankfully the European courts blocked this because it violates human rights.
She wants greater control over the Internet.
She uses fear and hatred to get new oppressive laws through, for example she said she would not feel safe walking around London at night. She believes that only criminals walk the streets at night in “unsafe” areas.
She made corrupt expense claims, including for her husband’s pay per view porn, she claimed money for living rent free at her sister’s house.
She a big fat oppressor of the people.

She’s arguably as authoritarian as Sarah Palin but without the religious angle. The UK is the 4th least religious nation on earth, so people like Palin wouldn’t get elected.
